In the heart of the splendid Cap Corse and just 15 minutes from Bastia, the Castel Brando is a hotel of great charm, with a timeless atmosphere. Set in an authentic 19th-century mansion and its outbuildings, the Hotel is surrounded by a shaded park filled with palm trees and centuries-old exotic plants.
Le Castel Brando is one of those typical 'American houses' of Cap Corse, built in 1853 by a Corsican army doctor who served under Napoleon, before being taken over and embellished a few years later by a native of the village, upon his return from Saint-Domingue after spending several decades there.
Like many inhabitants of Cap Corse at the time, he had ventured to the 'Americas', then returned to his village once he had made his fortune, to acquire a luxurious residence and plant a lush exotic park.
In 1990, Joëlle and Jean Paul Pieri acquired this old family house that had fallen into ruins. Their love for it brought it back to life and inspired them with the vocation to make it a unique address, a place that reflects Corsican hospitality.
